Discussion Questions for Online/Hybrid Classes
1. Compare and contrast your online learning experience to your physical in-class
learning experience. Do you prefer one format to the other? Do you notice more
similarities or differences? Do your classmates have a similar perspective? (LO 8.1)
2. Post your five favorite pieces of technology. Write a brief explanation of why you
chose your answers. Next, compare and contrast your choices to your classmates’
choices. Do you notice any trends? If so, what are they? (LO 8.4)
3. The makers of Mac computers and the makers of personal computers frequently
advertise that their product is superior to the competitors’. Briefly research Web sites
of both brands, and post one similarity and one difference between them.
Remember to include any outside sources you may have used. You may want to
consider the types of professions that prefer one system to the other. (LO 8.3)
4. Compare and contrast yourself as a student now versus the student you were in
high school. How have you changed? For example, are you more or less focused on
grades? Is homework easier or harder? Is your age a factor in these changes? (LO
