Writing Topics
1. Think about what you do for fun. Select one activity and write an essay about the
process. Remember to include an introduction, necessary materials if needed, and
any helpful hints or warnings.
2. Describe your process for relieving stress. Do you go to the gym? Do you play
music? Do you cuddle up with a good book? Pretend your audience is someone who
needs advice due to a stressful job.
3. Write your process for studying for a test. Do you cram the night before or study a
little bit each day. Do you require a quiet place or prefer the television to be on?
Imagine that a new student will be reading your process.
4. As you move closer to graduation, you will need to look for jobs in your field. Write
down the process you plan to follow when you start looking. You may want to talk to
the career center at your school for ideas.
