Beethoven
Ludwig van Beethoven was born on December 17 1770 in Bonn, Germany. He was the
last great representa(ve of the Viennese classicism (a,er Gluck, Haydn and Mozart), and also a
precursor of Roman(cism in music. Through his life(me, Beethoven made many great
achievements through music that, even in modern (mes, continue to reach and inspire people
from all walks of life. His music was expressed through different genres, and although his
symphonic music was the main reason for his popularity, writing piano and chamber music were
also his strong parts. Beethoven is the central figure in both classicism and roman(cism period.
