1. How would you distinguish love from liking? How have you misinterpreted love and liking?
2. Do you think people’s love styles change throughout their lives? If so, what factors do you think
account for this change? How might age influence how people understand love styles or how to behave?
How might culture affect people’s love styles?
3. Consider intimacy, passion, and commitment; what would these components look like as “deal
breakers” for your relationships?
4. Think about your sense of “love.” How did your types of love change from middle school to high
school to college to now?
