Activity 1: Group Activity and Discussion on Substance Use and Abuse Among
Adolescents
Substance use (i.e., alcohol and drugs) has an effect on the body. The purpose of this
experiential exercise is to understand the effects of alcohol and drugs on the body. Divide
the class into teams of six students for a relay race. Give each team a thick pair of gloves.
Activity 2: Group Activity on Building Positive Relationships With Family and
Peers
Divide into groups of five. Your task is to create an advertisement (i.e., brochure, song, skit,
poem, etc.) of the positive qualities of a good friend or son/daughter. Upon completion of
