• Write each of the combining forms, prefixes, and suffixes on small slips of paper and
place them in a hat or bowl. Go around the room and have each student take a slip and
use it to make a medical word. Continue until all slips are used. Ask them to use their
terms in sentences so that pronunciation and context can be checked.
