Interview a nurse who works in staff development. Prior to the interview, develop key
questions you will ask. Summarize your responses. (Online Application Option)

Working in teams, each team should prepare a list of leadership and management topics
that they would want offered to them if they were in a nurse manager position. Other
teams should also identify leadership and management content but for a nurse in a staff
nurse position. Share results and compare and contrast in discussion, noting similar topics
and how the content might be described differently for the nurse manager and for the
staff nurse. Consider position descriptions in this discussion. (Online Application Option)

Attend a staff development program in an HCO or a CE program offered locally.
Summarize your experience and identify the presenter and qualifications, learning
outcomes and if they were met, key points from the content, and your evaluation of the
