organization for which they developed a recovery plan. This project requires that students develop an
outline for a specialized post-event debriefing session of members of emergency service organizations and
contract disaster recovery firms that respond in a disaster.
Case Projects Discussion
The case projects in this book all cover the same company, Harris and Heartfield Manufacturing. As with the
hands-on projects, the case projects are designed to build skills and knowledge for disaster recovery
planning. In the case projects students are advising an organization about how to develop a disaster recovery
plan. The assignments in each chapter will challenge the students in communicating disaster recovery
planning concepts to a group of managers that have no previous knowledge or experience in disaster
recovery planning.
