artifact.
Theexampleimageyouwilluseinthisexercisehasmanysolidcolorareasandedgeswheresharpcolorchanges
occur.ItisnotthetypeofimagesthatJPEGcompressionisbestforbecausetheJPEGcompressionartifactismore
pronounce.However,thiswillmakeiteasyforyoutoseetheartifactinthisexercise.

upoflargeareasofsolidcolorsandgradients.

1. OpentheimagewithAdobePhotoshop,andconvertthisimageintoJPEGfileswithdifferentcompressionlevel.
