Exercise Objective
4. Employment Tests: Ability, Personality, Performance, Integrity and Others
a. Employment tests are legally considered to consist of any procedure
used in the employment selection decision process.
b. Ability tests measure physical abilities, strength and stamina,
d. Personality tests measure personality traits such as adjustment,
energy, sociability, independence and need for achievement.
(1) The most famous personality test is the Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator.
f. When appropriate, the organization can also use drug testing,
polygraph, genetic screening, and handwriting analysis.
g. Two important legal considerations about any test are its reliability
and its validity.
