Students must first be reminded that before coding ever begins, it is the
responsibility of the developer to fully understand the task at hand, the company’s
needs, and the external business environment. The second step is to plan for the
development of the Web database construction. Review the Chapter 6 Learning
Track on Database Design and Entity-Relationship Diagramming, which can be
found on the Student CD-ROM and the Laudon Web site. Once the developer
