1. Select the Example 1 worksheet
3. Enter Quantities for A, B, and C: 7, 16, 5
4. Determine Number of Cycles, first note that there is no value that will divide into each quantity and
yield an integer. Following are some choices:
5. Enter Units per Cycle for A, B, and C: 1, 3, 1 (largest integer in 5 cycles).
6. Distribute Units Short: A in cycle 2 and 4, C in cycle 3.
7. If the requirement for A is raised to 8 units, and you decide you stay with 5 cycles, you might
distribute the units short something like A in cycles 1, 3, and 5 and B in 3. However it might be
better to go to 4 cycles.
