Divide the class into 5 groups, and assign each group one of the 5 reasons why a film mount is
used in dental radiography. Have each group summarize and provide detailed examples of
their reason. Have the students present their findings to the class.

pretend as if their partner is their patient. Have each student fill out the film with all of the
necessary information on the film mount. Check the students work for accuracy.

the class into small groups, and have each group remount the films using the identification dot
to orient the films into the mount. Provide feedback as necessary.
