Follow the Leader
This is an extension of the web activity option in Week 1. Ask students to identify an opinion
leader whom they admire and to follow that person on social media over the term (Twitter,
Facebook, blog, etc.). Periodically call on students to share with the class what their leader is
thinking and how influential they think they are.
At the end of the term, ask students to write a five-page paper evaluating the effectiveness of
