BOR-YUH EVAN CHANG joined the faculty in January 2009 after completing his Ph.D. at the University
of California, Berkeley. Evan’s research is primarily in the areas of programming languages and program
analysis. He is interested in tools and techniques for building, understanding, and ensuring reliable
AARON CLAUSET received a B.S. in physics from Haverford College and a Ph.D. in computer science
from the University of New Mexico. He joins CU Boulder this year from the Santa Fe Institute, where he
