CHAPTER 9
ACCESS BASICS
CHAPTER 9 QUESTIONS
1. Rather than placing all information in one table, it’s important to separate information into
manageable chunks or tables.
2. Step 1 in the creation of any database is developing and understanding of the business and its
information needs. Step 2 is deciding what information we need for each table, what form (or data
type) that information takes, and what properties exist for each field. Step 3 is inputting the
information into the tables.
8. Most of the information in a form comes from an underlying record source.
9. Using graphical objects called controls a link is created between the form and its record source.
10. No. Headers and footers are not a part of the underlying record source. They are usually stored with
the form.
11. The forms wizard asks 4 questions: What fields do you want on your form, what layout would you like
for your form, what style would you like for your form, and what title do you want for your form?
