Reading Questions
Chapter 8: Education
Instructors are provided with two sets of questions to engage students: discussion questions
(in the text) and reading questions (below).
1. Name three ways education is talked about as being unbiased/neutral.
2. How have you seen the education gap play out in your own educational experience?
3. List three examples of microaggressions.
4. Develop 3–5 strategies for teachers/professors to challenge gendered expectations in the
classroom.
5. Do you think there is equity in sports? If so, how do you think this has been accomplished?
If not, why not?
