Chapter 10: Religion
Instructors are provided with two sets of questions to engage students: discussion questions
(provided in the text) and reading questions (provided below).
1. In what ways do you think religion has influenced your gender, sex, and/or sexuality?
2. Were you raised a complementarian, egalitarian, or neither? How do you think this
upbringing has shaped your own views?
3. Name three ways religion influences political issues. Do you think religion should
influence political issues? Why or why not?
4. If you consider yourself religious or spiritual, how do you see your religion or spirituality
as a place of empowerment?
