Lab 2
Functional Terminology in Anatomy and Physiology
To the instructor: This lab focuses on terms that will be useful as we discuss relationships and basic
elements of anatomy and physiology. In this lab, we review details related to material that will be
common to all systems of anatomy and physiology, so, in a way this is “how to talk about anatomy.”
We have added an introduction to neuroanatomy and neurophysiology for those instructors who want to
develop an understanding of the control system for speech before moving into structures of speech. If you
don’t want to work with that content, you can delete that portion of the lab.
