Special Features
Among its special features, this Test Bank includes a guest essay by Anita Vangelisti of the University
of Texas that is designed to help new instructors with test construction and assessment. Prepared
exclusively to accompany The Art of Public Speaking, it discusses the functions of testing for students
and instructors, the different levels of learning one can seek to assess when constructing examinations,
and the strengths and weaknesses of various kinds of exam questions. It also addresses issues related
to the comprehensiveness, difficulty, and length of exams. The essay can be found in the Word file
immediately following this introduction.
The Test Bank also provides a preconstructed true-false quiz for each chapter of The Art of Public
Speaking. An answer key follows each quiz. These quizzes and answer keys can be found in the Word
file that follows the Chapter 20 test questions.
