16. Sam sought services from the Passages Agency for his daughter, Phillipa, who was depressed over the suicide of her
boyfriend of 2 years. Phillipa was referred by the hospital were Sam took her 2 days after the boyfriend’s suicide. She
remained in the hospital for 3 days and was discharged to an Intensive Outpatient program. Phillipa refused to attend after
2 days. She was successfully treated with medication prescribed by a psychiatrist outside the agency, individual therapy at
2 times per week and family therapy 2 times per month (provided by therapists at Passages). The family was seen for a
