The Significance of Labor Day
Labor Day is one of the most important national holidays of the entire year. It “is
dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers”, and it honors the hard
work that Americans give to their jobs every day in order to make the world a better place. In the
United States, unfair labor practices were used by bosses of laborers each and every day, and
Americans had to fight for labor laws that would create a fair and workable work environment as
labor had been abused by bosses in the past for many years. In the Haymarket Square Riots,
