“The Yellow Wallpaper”
Charlotte Perkins Gilmore’s, “The Yellow Wallpaper”, was extremely interesting to read.
When first reading through, I just thought about it as a woman’s contact with some yellow
wallpaper, and that her husband was extremely rude and controlling. After being very confused, I
read it through again. It turned out that the narrator was a sick woman that is prohibited to do
anything, especially writing. It is like she is trapped in between four walls surrounding her and
the wallpaper. People who are depressed are continuously trapped in their own minds. It is like
being inside your own head and what you can see through your eyes is just a glass window that
