refers to the author’s thoughts about how she is sick and how to help herself. She also
mentions that she does not know how her relatives could help, even if they are physicians
as they believe that nothing is wrong with her. As described, it shows that women, at this
time, were looked as a burden and a person that spends their time at home, away from the
