Compare Xerox to other Fortune 500 companies. How are woman and minorities
represented at highest levels of each organization? How can these statistics be improved
upon?
An important factor to consider when comparing Xerox to another company is that the
competitor should have the same or similar nature of business. The company I chose to
compare Xerox Corporation to is Ricoh Company, Ltd.
Xerox and Ricoh may have the same nature of business, yet these companies are
completely different. I believe the difference due to the approach used to achieve the
company aspirations.

Based on research done, I discovered that composition in top management between Xerox
and Ricoh are contradictory. As Xerox practice diversity in every aspect of their
organization, their top management composition shows that they really meant it. Top
management in Xerox is represented by a mixture of people including women and
minorities. The top two positions which is the chairman and chief executive officer
represented by women. Whereas in Ricoh; most of the upper management is represented
by Japanese and are dominated by men. There is only one position held by a minority the
