Written Exercise Two
1. Based on the passage in the book, the company was founded on solving a
problem and building a shirt that didn’t get so wet and heavy such as the cotton shirt.
Although to some this problem seemed insigni-cant, it proved enough for Kevin Plank to
start to develop a shirt that did not have this property, but was still able to provide a
cooling property. I think that the company’s humble beginning, was the start of
something big, and that first initial inven0on, set them to be a company that will always
continue to innovate. Although one my not expect this type of innovation from a

staple for their own product lines. An example of this is how Nike has a clothing line with
almost the same exact technology but under the product line Dri-Fit. I think a6er the
first innovation that Under Armour had, I can expect them to continue to set the bar and
innovate further.
