Genre Analysis:
When you think about population control, what is the thing that first come to your
mind? When I first think about population control, I think about how to control the
population in developing country. As I mentioned in my writing project two, “Most of
the world’s population growth over the next century will be in Africa and Asia; in the
other continents the population growth has already ceased.” So what I want to do is
try to let people in developing country realized what is the situation of population
bomb and how to stop it.
So I was think about is try to let people in developing country realized how serious
the problem is. When I search the “population control” on google, I found out a
website called www.debate.org. I found out that lots of people was holding debate on
that website and I thought maybe I should hold a debate and talk about my opinion.
Since I believed that people should face the problem first and then overcome it,
debate should be a good way for my stakeholders start to thinking about the
population problem. There is a good example in debate.org called: “China ‘One child’
policy: Is the policy key to controlling China’s population?”

the problems, and the debate gave me a lot of opinions from other people, help me
understand the problems from other aspects.
The other thing I may want to work on in WP3 is I want to do some research about
primary family plan education. I want to work on this project because when I was a
middle school student, I had government class in China, and I learned something
about one child policy and family plan, that make me think a lot about how to reduce
population bomb. I may create a Facebook page to talk about how serious we need to
have a family plan and how to teach young teenagers about birth control and family
plan. I may also create another debate on debate.org to discuss if young teenager
