In the United States workforce is major issues that is disused mostly every day. Because
of your race and gender, that defines you in who you are. Race and gender play big role in
workforce, because I believe that cause of race you get discriminated in getting a job. And
depending on gender, male or female there is never balanced in the workforce. One way to
start this process is to observe the number of different race and gender in certain types of
workforce field, while looking at why they get better opportunities depending on their gender
and racial differences. A research study done by James R. Elliott and Ryan A. Smith (2004) data,
in Race, Gender, and Workplace Power, it suggests that power defined as “control over
resources, people, and things” meaning having higher position in workforce you are in power of
everything (Elliott and Smith, 2004). We can reference to the word “glass ceiling” because there
