Discovering the wonderful beauty of Ngoc Vung Island
Ngoc Vung is a beautiful, tranquil and romantic place at a far distance from
the shore, so Ngoc Vung seems separated from the rest of Ha Long. It is
an ideal beach for those who like an immense beach, offshore and not as
polluted as the beach near the shore. Ngoc Vung beach is increasingly
attracting tourists to bath and relax. This is a beach you can’t miss when
traveling to Ha Long.
Ngoc Vung Island is in Van Don District and quite far from the mainland,
around the island there are many beautiful beaches which still keep the
wild beauty of nature. Especially, this place also preserves archaeological
sites of Ha Long Culture. Ngoc Vung Island is about 12 square kilometers
in width and has a considerable number of residents. The people here live
on capturing fisheries. This place preserves ancient Cong Yen harbor
under the trading system of Van Don from the 12th century. There are a
few relics of ancient Mac and Nguyen Dynasty remaining on this island, but
their cultural and historical values are extremely important.
