Worship
I was so excited to get to this chapter because I love worship! I have a passion to sing
and to be a worship leader. This chapter spoke so much to me and was one I could
really connect with the most. One thing I loved from this chapter was when Foster said
“Worship is our response to the overtures of love from the heart of the father.” Then
later goes on to say “forms and rituals do not produce worship. We can use all the right
techniques and methods. We can have the best possible liturgy, but we have not
worshipped the Lord until spirit touches spirit.” When I read this, I thought of me and the
worship team I’m on here at James river worship. We can do everything in our efforts to
make the songs we’re singing sound amazing and speak powerful words but worship
isn’t made from what we produce. It’s something only the Holy spirit can produce. When
