World Trade Center
September 11, 2001, a date that is engrained in nearly everyone’s brain who was born
before 2001. On that day terrorist attack at the World Trade Centers and Pentagon are the
reason why we are still at war in the Middle East today. Thousands of lives lost on a single day,
possibly the most horri,c days we will ever see in our life)me. The ,lm, World Trade Center,
does an excellent job depic)ng the tragedies and emotional strain of the emergency responders
and families on September 11.
World Trade Center follows our two main characters, Sergeant John McLoughlin and
O0cer Will Jimeno of the Port Authority Police Department. Both John and Will head to work
at the bus terminal as if it were a normal day in New York City. As they are on their normal
patrol, they spot a plane 6ying dangerously low. They hear some radio cha’er and multiple
o0cers begin to head back to the police sta)on where they, among others John and Will, see
that an airplane has hit the North Tower on the news. John begins to assign duty position to
certain o0cers to assist in an evacua)on of the World Trade Center. All o0cers assigned board
a metro bus headed for the World Trade Centers. On the way, o0cers hear reports of another
airplane hi7ng the South Tower. O0cers also learn that Sergeant McLoughlin has had to deal
