The residents’ of Rukullakta endured several experiences with environmentalists as well
as the residents’ of Conklin’s essay, “For Love or Money”. To begin, I will start off with the
discussion of the residents’ of Rukullakta. During the 1960’s indigenous people in the Upper
Napo region, needed to form a cooperative, or a community where they could register the land as
