Work Ethic Trait: Respect
Please post your comments regarding the Work Ethic Trait “Respect”.
Definition: Tolerates other points of view; acknowledges and appreciates rights of others; has regard
for diversity.
Respect is an important part of a productive and effective work environment. It is not only key among
staff, but also for a solid relationship between staff and management. However, because of the
hierarchy of command in a workplace, respect is not easily gained, maintained or restored when it’s lost.
Building respect in the workplace requires more than just a job well done; it also takes time, patience
and consistency.
