Chapter 1
1. To improve effectiveness, the company can use the brand name that it has built. One of the
first things the company can do is to re-examine its franchise processes. The company must
develop support systems in order to maintain and restrict how meals are prepared and the
ingredients that have to come directly from the main company branch. McDonald’s has to
be able to work closely with its franchisees in order to have better quality control.
2. Quality and taste are very important to me when selecting a restaurant because the quality
of the service you received tells you a lot about the how your food will come out to you.
Taste is also important because if I’m paying for something that I’m not making myself
then i expect for the taste to be satisfying. I want a good taste that I can’t get at home
making it myself.
