Women Filmmakers Contributions
In the very beginning women were considered different from men, especially it was said that
they werent supposed to work outside. However, women later broke this opinion by going out and
proving themselves. Gradually we have women doctors, women engineers, women scientists who
are as same professional as men, and of course, great women directors! At first, the cake of cinema
had always only been shared between male directors ever since cinema field appeared. Not until the
late 19th century, quite a few female directors started going into the sight of the public. They gave
fully proof of their abilities by excellent work and novel opinions towards filmmaking. In a word,
women filmmakers indeed have tremendous contributions to the development of cinema. There is
some powerful evidence below to support this claim, in the case of years from 1897 to 1983.
