Memo: Wirefab´s future
Wirefab has been a rollercoaster ride since we started operations in 1958. We survived an
economic crisis that nearly bankrupted us in 1984, and a fire that almost destroyed all our
dreams in 1987. Our spirit, teamwork and persistence rebuilt and transformed the company
into a profitable business just as we closed the decade of the 80’s.
Now I face my biggest challenge yet: decide where will Wirefab go in the next 10 years and
how can I harvest the fruits of my efforts while ensuring our essence and continuity are kept
intact.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Wirefab is in an industry with just a few competitors of similar size, processes and location:
Eastern Wire of Providence, RI; Acme Wire, Mystic, CT; and Titchener, Binghamton, NY.
