Reason to stay in EU
• Economy: After the 2008 recession the UK economy is still very fragile, the Treasury
forecast, if Britain left the EU, the UK GDP will be reduced by 6%, house prices will fall
by 18%, and each family shopping bill will rise to 200 pounds a year.
• Work: Approximately 2.5 million jobs around the UK is a direct benefit from EU trade,
in addition to 1 million jobs indirectly benefit from EU trade. If Britain left the European
Union, a conservative estimate of the UK will have 3 million unemployed.
