Purpose Statement/Goal: To persuade my class that HIIT cardio is more effective than steady-state cardio
Thesis/Central Idea: Today I’ll talk about Steady- state cardio, High intenstiy interval training cardio (HIIT) and
why HIIT is more effective than steady-state cardio.

Would you believe me if I told you that it was possible for you to burn calories while you sleep?
Most of us want to get more in shape and even lose a few pounds but with the grind of school and
work it‘s hard for us to find the time to spend an hour or so on the treadmill.
Over the past two years, I have been on my own phyisical journey during which I have done
research and talked to a lot knowledgeable people on the topic of fitness.
Today I’ll talk about Steady– state cardio, High intenstiy interval training cardio (HIIT) and why HIIT is
more effective than steady-state cardio.
