Why Christians Should Volunteer?
Volunteering is the act of giving/devoting oneself for either a specific person or a group
of people in a time of need. A person takes personal time to help. They could say that
volunteering is an act of selflessness and is often looked up to, a trait that Christians value.
Christians see wealth and money as being a symbol of evilness, so they pay extra attention to
those who are poor. This is because people with money tend to be more selfish when it comes
with helping others, this is considered being greedy. Managing money in an evil way, can also
lead you further from god. Churches collect money to help the poor and the people that are
suffering, which is a good deed that leads them closer to god. Volunteering to help the poor is
believed to get closer to god, those especially with money. Apart from this, Christians should
volunteer because it is more blessed to give than receive, it helps determine what is right or
wrong, and it helps people that are in need.
Not to mention, Christians believe that if they give their offerings that good things will
come back to them. For instance, donating to the church or donating to the homeless that are
begging on the street. Even if they only had a penny, nickel, dime, etc. they give what they have.
