Who Am I?
Mahatma Gandhi, an Indian Lawyer stated that, “Man and woman are a peerless pair; being
supplementary to one another; each helps the other, so that without the one, the existence of
the other cannot be conceived and, therefore, it follows that anything that impairs the status of
either of them will involve the equal ruin of them both.” Mahatma Gandhi played a significant
role eradicating gender equity pertaining to women. Gandhi always had immense faith that
women have a bigger role in the political, economic and social emancipation to play. As per
Gandhi, women are superior to men on the grounds of morality and spirituality (Mondal).
