Essay question: Which of the characters in the play are MOST like Macbeth? Consider three options.
Macbeth once said “Thou wouldst be great art not without ambition, but without the illness
should attend it.” Ambition, determination and immoral are just some of the characteristics of Macbeth,
throughout the play he shows them quite often, but who else in the play is also like Macbeth? Who else
have these characteristics and shows them without a doubt? There are many characters in the play that
have some of these characteristics but there are three main ones that seem to show these characteristics
more than anybody else, and these are Lady Macbeth, Banquo and Macduff. I strongly believe that lady
Macbeth is the one more like Macbeth.
