‘Where do you see yourself in 10 years?’
‘Where do you see yourself in 10 years?’, to be really honest I don’t like such questions because
who knows where I will be, where we will all be in some years. Life is very uncertain. Even if I
plan something, I am 100 percent sure I won’t be able to do it in the specific time I decided to do
it. I consider myself lucky if I am able to do something in the time I have decided. For example,
this pandemic, who thought that we are going to face something like this. I had many plans
which I don’t even know when I will be able to accomplish. The things I thought would not
happen to me did happen and though I thought I was ready and can endure it. I wasn’t able to. I
failed. No one is ever ready or knows what is going to happen tomorrow so instead of specifying
that I have to do everything in 10 years I want to give myself the time and the freedom to be able
to do some of the things as long as it takes and accomplish some of the things within 10
years.
When I think or imagine about 10 years from now the first thing that comes to my mind is that I
will be 30 years old, which I can’t even imagine being 30 years old. Unfortunately, time doesn’t
stop so I will be 30 one day. I am 20 years old now, but I don’t really know what I am going to
do or what I want to do. However, there are some things that I really want to do before I turn 30.
That is earn money and save up as much as I can.
I love travelling and food, so I want to travel around the world. Obviously, it is going to cost a
lot. Therefore, I want to take one trip each year for a long time where I can travel to one or two
countries, to experience the culture, food and the beauty of that country.
I have been travelling since my childhood. My dad loves travelling too but couldn’t really stay in
one country for a long time. However, I have never been to Japan. I love Japan, especially the
