What’s on the Minds of America’s Youth Today?
America can be tailored to fit anyone’s preference, whether it be finding the
perfect shade of rouge for a hot date, or making millions on EBay for selling a Jesus-like
piece of toast. In our world, the world where everywhere you turn there could be your big
break; where everyone seems to be both for and against you, it’s no wonder we don’t
have any desire to know or care about what is going on in the rest of the world…I mean,
what rest of the world?
More and more I find myself searching for at least one smidgen of an epiphany on
what exactly I’m supposed to become, and whom I’m supposed to become it for. What
exactly is all this emo-music driven teen angst teaching me? I get worried a lot though,
not so much about myself, but about whether we have it all wrong. Do we have it too
