To Fix The Opioid Crisis
Dr.’s feel as if they are contributing to the opioid crisis as they prescribe these pain meds to
patients who really do have a need to control the pain. “The overarching goal is simple: To only
give opioids to those who really need them, in as sparing an amount as possible.”(Corley, 2018)
Patients expect to be given pain meds to ease their pain but in the long run it is just prolonging
