An analysis of the Yin and Yang aspect of the Taoist symbol of Yin and Yang
According to Guading,M.(2015) the symbol begins with a circle followed by an s
curve of the two opposite principles that interact with each other the Yin(the black
half) and Yang(the white half) and finally, within each half is a small circle
representing the opposite aspect. In the next carve up I will venture to compare the
two Yin and Yang aspects that make up the sign looking at what the two are, the
principle is expressed by the symbol and why Yin and Yang together form the Taoist
symbol of Yin and Yang.
According to Pellitteri,T(n.d.) the symbol represents balance and that is why the s
curve divides the symbol into two equal parts. He states that the Yang represents the
light and the Yin the dark, the two smaller circles of the opposite colours within the s
curve depicts that one whether Yin or Yang is always represent the other. He gives
the characteristics of the Yin and Yang those of the Yin include it is slow, reflective,
theoretical, intuitive, nurturing, interdependent, introverted, earthy, feminine,
