What is Quantitative analysis approach
Quantitative analysis approach consists of seven approaches that will be use when it comes
to making people or management make decisions based on data and not guess work. The
information that is formulated is based on numbers or figures that will be used to
determine the outcomes or what someone can expect. It is a good way for companies to
determine how much they will need to spend, what numbers they mayneed to use to correct
a certain outcome, fix, andpredict a certain outcome.
The seven approaches are defining the problem, developing a model, acquiring input data,
developing solution, testing the solution, analyzing the results, and implementing the
results.
The first step in the solutions is defining the problem. “Defining the problem will consist
of a clear concise statement about the problem.”(Render, Stair, Hanna) In giving a concise
statement the management or team can start attempting t fix the problem and start
strategizing for a solution to the problem.
“Developing a model is a representation (usually mathematical) of situations.”(Render,
Stair, Hanna) “There are a variety of types of models.there is physical model, scale model,
schematic model, and mathematical model.” (Render, Stair, Hanna)
Acquiring input Data will consist of finding gaining data in various of ways. “Some of the
methods that is used to gain data will be interviewing employees and counting on their
experience to verify certain information.”(Render, Stair, Hanna). Other methods that can
be used is interviewing other personnel related to the firm as well. The reason these
individual and employees are interviewed is because they can provide experience and
