What is love?
What is love? In the dictionary love is, a person or thing that one loves. That could mean
so many different things, to me love is with my family, boyfriend, and friends. I could not love
anybody more deeply than I do those three. Without love I feel the world would be dull and not
worth living. Love does hurt don’t get me wrong, but in the end true love is worth the couple
heart breaks. When love tears you down you can’t just give up, Love is worth the fight no matter
the circumstance. Today love is a joke to most people, no one wants labels anymore they just
want the benefits of a relationship without putting forth the effort to have a working relationship.
Everyone takes their family and friends for granted and most people only care about themselves.
What happen to guys holding the doors for girls, opening the car door, going on dates, or
bringing a girl flowers. Now guys just have “side chicks” and cheat. But guys are not the only
problem, women are as much to blame. Women lead men on and are almost as un loyal as men,
they also have “side dudes.” Nobody can trust what today’s society calls “love” but if you keep
your head straight you will find that kind of love, the love that makes you feel the happiest you
have ever felt. One other thing, love is when you both feel for each other. Don’t let someone
walk all over you and treat you badly because you love them. Being in a relationship means
agreeing and or compromising on a situation to make you both feel happy and comfortable. Love
can hit you at any moment and no length of time does not matter. You can love someone you
have known for a couple months, it’s all on how they treat you and if they take care of you. “The
best love is the one that makes you a better person, without changing you in to someone other
than yourself.”
One of the kinds of love I feel are for my family. The love for my family is a little
different than most peoples. My mother is not a very good mother, she was a drug addict most of
my childhood and still to this day eighteen years later she is still an alcoholic. But deep down I
love her for giving me and my brother to my grandparents for them to raise us. But my
grandmother has my up most respect and my love. She has been by my side through everything,
she is my rock. I have learned most of what I know about love from her. She has loved us since
day one and took me and my brother in and raised us as her own. But she is not the only one I
can thank for my big heart my other grandmother is also very much responsible for my big heart
and how I think of love today. I was raised around so much love that I knew it existed
