Discuss the following:
1. What is integrated plant nutrient management?
-IPNM (integrated plant nutrient management) is a comprehensive, integrated
approach to plant nutrient management that takes into account all available agricultural
resources. IPNM’s core concepts are to optimize the use of organic inputs while reducing
nutrient losses, and to use chemical fertilizers only as a last resort. IPNM best practices
frequently include a mix of organic and inorganic nutrient sources. Chemical fertilizers are
frequently required to boost production, whereas organic resources maintain and improve soil
productivity. IPNM helps to improve farm waste management, reduce environmental
pollution, increase soil productivity, and produce safe food and feed.It is the intelligent
application of the optimal combination of organic, inorganic, and biological nutrient sources
in a specific crop, cropping system, and climatic situation in order to achieve and sustain the
highest yield while also improving or maintaining the physical, biological, and chemical
properties of the soil.
2. How can integrated plant nutrient management improve agriculture sector?
-Poverty alleviation, achieving the zero-hunger aim, and ensuring food security are all
