What is happiness ?
Tones of books had been published, billions of researches had been conducted,
eternal number of movies had been shot, myriads of songs had been dedicated merely to
define the simplest word – “happiness”. Despite of this fact, people still can not exactly
answer to these questions: “What is happiness? How to find it?”.
Every single person on the Earth thinks of happiness in absolutely different ways
and share multifarious opinions. To the best of our knowledge, most people would
respond that the components of happiness are having a lot of money, luxury car and
house, prestigious job and etc. But let us cross all of these out for a second and try to
recall the last time when you were truly happy. Did you find happiness in buying new
clothes or spending money on something you wanted for so long? Maybe yes, but it was
fallacious feeling of happiness. It is vital to highlight out the fact that people very often
confuse the real happiness with such fleeting short-term feelings. Once an American
writer Hosea Ballou said of happiness that “Real happiness is cheap enough, yet how
dearly we pay for its counterfeit”. I would totally agree with him, as something simple
