WHAT IS AN ETHICAL DILEMMA?
An ethical dilemma is a moral situation in which a choice has to be made between
two equally undesirable alternatives. Means doing morally right but result is bad
outcome or doing morally wrong but result will be better outcome.
SOURCES OF ETHICAL PROBLEMS
Ethical challenges and their attendant dilemmas may arise due to
1. Failure of personal character; if someone’s character is unethical then it will
create ethical problem.
2. Conflict of personal values and organizational goals; if the personal values are
mismatched with organizational goals then ethical problem may be originated.
Personally ethical but organization is unethical or personally unethical but
organization is ethical, conflict could be arise.
3. Organizational goals versus social values; Organizational goals may be different
